The days are getting darker and colder so I’ve been in need of a heavier foundation. I was browsing my local Marks & Spencer recently and they do a vast array of cosmetics and beauty products that you won’t find in your local Boots or Superdrug. I used some of the Autograph range of make up when I was younger and thought I’d check it out again now. The Illuminating Touch Radiance Foundation caught my eye with its simple, yet chic and practical bottle so tried a bit on my hand and face and immediately fell in love with it. Ok so it’s perhaps not as heavy as I had planned to purchase for a Fall/Winter foundation, but the coverage is still great and it gives a really amazing glow (even to tired, washed out looking skin). The only downside to buying foundations from counters such as these is that there are no staff to guide with the exact colour match. So perhaps I went a touch darker than my natural skin tone. However, if blended properly around the hairline and jawline and worn over a BB cream or tinted moisturiser it’s absolutely fine and actually makes my skin look a bit warmer which is good!
The packaging describes this product as a ‘skin perfecting foundation which instantly illuminates and revitalises tired and dull looking complexions, providing radiance whilst blending seamlessly for a totally even weightless coverage.’ I was sold when I read this description and totally agree with everything it says having worn it for over a week now. The foundation contains light reflecting polymers which make the skin luminous, but not too shiny. And the best part is…it’s only £12.50! So I can still afford to buy a slightly heavier one that’s an exact colour match if I need to. I’m really happy with this Illuminating Touch Radiance in the meantime and know it will look fantastic come the warmer months when I have a bit of a tan. I highly recommend it and I look forward to trying more of the Autograph collection soon.
The photo (below right) shows me wearing the Illuminating Touch Radiance Foundation in ‘Honey.’ It is worn over Boots No7 Triple Protection Tinted Moisturiser so no concealer, powder or bronzer. As you can see it makes my skin very radiant with a good coverage yet very lightweight feel. Please note these are all my own opinions.
