So we’re halfway through January and I don’t know about you but I’m feeling a little ‘meh‘. By now I thought I would be powering through work after having a break but I have too many different things going on and keep starting and not finishing any of them (something my husband hates especially when I am in the kitchen, have started washing up then leave it and move onto cooking dinner and loading the washing machine simultaneously). I’ve just abandoned three things in order to write this blog post but as long as I finish it I’ll be satisfied. Something I haven’t even started (but wish I had) is my healthier eating and exercise routine and yet the days slide by and I keep putting it off. I’ve cut down (slightly) on my latte habit but just can’t bring myself to lay off carbs and sugar. Following Instagram accounts completely dedicated to slicing up massive cakes slicked in Nutella or digging into a giant bowl of creamy, luscious mac n cheese does not help one bit. Today is the day – if I can write this post then I can fit in a short exercise video or power walk. It won’t kill me surely.
It might be related to my large sugar intake but my skin wasn’t so great before Christmas. However, a quick fix was using the Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads from one of my fave brands Nip + Fab (£12.95 for 60 pads). I got some for free when I ordered some other products over Black Friday (they had amazing deals and a lot of items were only £5.) Anyway, the cleansing pads are little miracle workers and oh so easy to use. They are cotton wool pads soaked in exfoliating glycolic acid and you simply wipe them over your face and wash off. The glycolic acid retextures skin whilst the addition of witch hazel tones. The pads also contain hyaluronic acid and soothing blue daisy which all help to reveal smooth, glowing, brighter skin. I use a bit of Micellar water afterward then Nip + Fab Dragon’s Blood Fix Hyaluronic Shot and Bee Sting Fix Deluxe Cream.
After just a couple of days my spots had cleared up and my skin was fresh and glowing once again. I know these pads will be a regular staple in my cleansing routine from now on. And it’s great they also offer gentle pads for more sensitive skin and extreme for those who can afford to really deep cleanse. It’s worth checking out the Nip + Fab website as they often have great deals on. I already use a lot of their skincare products but would love to try out their make up. Does anyone use it and what products can you recommend?
Ok then, just a few more things to do before I attempt some exercise. Or maybe I’ll just leave it till tomorrow…
